Whatever people say about David James (and for me he is one of the better keepers around) its very hard to dislike him.
He comes across as very genuine and is actually very eloquent and thoughtful - not afraid to be different.
The perfect middle ground between morons like Dyer, Ashley Cole, Jody Morris and tedious pseudo-intellectuals like Tony Adams, Sol and Le Saux.

Agreed. He seems a good, grascious guy. You'd think a millionaire footballer-cum-model would be an surefire arsehole, but he's not at all.

It's only the crazy errors that have stopped him becoming a top. top 'keeper - but he has more raw talent at his disposal than Robinson IMO.
But his time has passed. Everyone should be looking at Ben Foster for England's next no.1 - instead of Kirkland & Carson.

I agree with you! He reminds me always of Menzo! That guy was a top keeper but at the end of his career people only talk about his massive errors he also made...
