Champions League Team of the Week

I only saw the arsenal and Chelsea games so could others fill us in on good performances...

Who should be in it then?

Goalkeepers?

Not sure, Hilario did quite well, did anyoner else see some good performances?

Defence

Boula is in with a good shout, maybe John Terry as well

Midfield

Diego? Essien? Piglcimber? though he did get sent off. Carvalho and Dudu?

Forwards

Drogba is a definate starter, Julio Cruz maybe?

i only saw the chelsea game...

lampard was good...boularouz was great..although ronaldinho had a terrible day..maybe because boularouz was having such a good day....maybe it was the other way round...who knows...essien was good too...drogba was ok but his miss was very bad..

I think we can all agree that no Barca players should make it, likewise Arsenal

I watched the Man Utd game as well but Copenhagen were so poor + no-one really stuck out for me, ole maybe?

Hilario did nothing really, Kahn clocked in more work.

Well like I said, I only saw 3 games, so whats the point in me putting in players I never saw play?

Of those 3 games, only 3 teams played well - CSKA, Chelsea and Man United.

Lampard was really good!

He did well, I wouldn't say he was exceptional.

Messi was the only threat Barca had and gave Cole a very tough game, in a team that generally played poorly.

Only saw Man Utd and Chelsea games properly (briefly watched bits of Arsenal), but I'd have Scholes and Rooney from United, and Boula, Essien and Drogba from Chelsea, with Makelele, Lampard and Terry perhaps just missing out.

Agreed with Tweeds, I thought Lamps played well.

Lampard played well? I must have watched a different match, Essien had a monster game, makelele was his usuall self, Ballack and Lampard were peripheral mostly.

Except if you want me to put only Lyon,Lille,Liverpool and Chelsea players...

I think we should check the team of the week on sports website from several countries and post it.

I only caught the highlights on Sky Sports Xtra today, but I saw alot of the Valencia match and Villa wasn't worthy of a place.

The first goal was a mistake from Leonardo, his second goal came from shit marking from Sviderski.
