    why does Valdes get such a bad reputation?

    He's always looked pretty sound every Barca game I've seen (even though he was in no man's land for RVN goal)

    He's made a couple of big mistakes last year, which led to goals. But he's improved a lot, and people forget that he's only 25/26, which is nothing in goalkeepers' terms.

    What are you talking about? Other teams love Valdes. He's the David James of La Liga. He will make several good saves here and there but then make a completely retarded mistake after that. He's been loved in Madrid for many years now since every clasico he does something stupid. Casillas' quality also makes him look like a third rate goalie. He also won over Valencia fans last season after his "assist" to David Villa Cool
