Reyes stirs the shit

On-loan winger Jose Antonio Reyes insists he does not ever want to return to Arsenal from Real Madrid.

The Spain international moved to Real on transfer deadline day with Julio Baptista going the other way, and both deals are expected to become permanent.

He told FourFourTwo magazine: "I do not think I failed in the Premiership but English football is very hard.

"I struggled to adapt to England and so did my family. I do not even want to think about going back."

The 23-year-old added: "Everything in England is shut at 5pm, there is nothing to do, nowhere to go. I just got bored.

WHAT THE FUCK IS HE TALKING ABOUT?!?! What kind of entertainment venue closes at 5? A playground? Probably used the soft tarmac to practice his diving

Nothing here shuts at 5. Even the newsagent shops stay open til 6-7.

we procrastinate too much in this country, no one actually works 8 hour days, we fill our time chatting, smoking, drinking coffee and, er, posting on internet forums. I reckon I only do about 15 hours actual work in an average week. This is probably what upset Reyes.

He's a professional footballer. He can't spend every night at a bar.

London's so $hit that I see many a footballer, who play for clubs in the NORTH of the country come down for their weekend night out.

There's nothing like a night out in the West End. Bars, Clubs, Cinemas, Theartre's.

Northerners just have an inferiority complex - they think a night out in London involves going to one of the clubs in Leicester Square - I see them all at weekends come down and go the wrong way! no-one from London goes out in that area FFS! Its a tourist place and yet they base their opinion of Londons nightlife on that area.

the 'nightclubs' in and around Leicester Square are specifically aimed at the Northern tourist. Most of them are carbon copies of the shoes and shirt working class pulling disco that you find in most towns, only bigger. Covent Garden is the same. The Tatty Bogle Club is the place to be. Not 'Storm' or The Gardening Club, you might as well stay in Burnley.

Burnley? Newcastle is a bit different to places like Burnley.

In fairness, that working class whinge is prevalent across the UK, though I imagine that it's worse in the North due to there being more working class people.

Reyes has done a lot of interview since his move and although half of the time he talks shit, most of his comments are taken out of context.

In the spainish media, he was asked difficulties he had adapting to english like, and he mentioned different cultures, and that everything closed early, in that interview it was understandable as he mentioned numerous things, but in the beeb report, it makes it sound like hes having a dig at Arsenal / England.

Reyes is a class player and i hope we sign him but the guy is a muppet. Most people from the south of spain are not very smart and he`s no exception.
Ok he didnt adapt, but i dont think he tried hard enough to adapt to start with. London is an amazing place to live, he obviously didnt get out much.

Reyes is ALL that is BAD about a footballer from abroad...unlike say the likes of Zola, or Linker, Keegan, The Legend the other way...

I dont care for Arsenal...but thats seriously DISRESPECFULL of the club, manager and fans!
