As i'm only young, I have never witnessed Liverpool win a league title, so for me my greatest moment was Istanbul 205 without a doubt, I still believe this was the greatest final of all time and everyone still talks about, it was fantastic.

what is the best moment for you in terms of your clubs achievements?

Naturally it's istanbul...
Though to be honest the sheer disbelief was such that I didn't really get a chance to wallow in the victory.
Chelsea in the semi and YooWay in the quater-final were the most enjoyable moments, because we didn't look like we were desperately holding on for all we've got.

Re: Your greatest football moment?
To me it was Atalanta - Malines, return leg of the of the 1988 cup winner's cup semi final. We eventually lost 2-1 and went out. The point was: that season we were also playing in serie B and for a short while we were leading 1-0 and the cup final was in sight. Although we were defeated, it was the best achievement ever in europe for us (and possibly for a lower division team), and a very exciting period for the club. At the end of the season we got promoted back to serie A. Malines won the final 1-0 against Ajax.

Re: Your greatest football moment?
I can't remember ever being as happy for a club team as when Barnes scored the winner in the 1988-1990 (?) FA Cup final from a free kick (any Liverpool fan can corroborate this detail?), despite Barça winning the CL last year. I suppose you put things more in perspective when you get older.

If you're talking about the one against Everton it was 88/89. The year after losing to fucking wimbledon.

I know Rush got 2, but I don't know the other scorer sorry.
Can't have been the 88 final you're talking about though, because we lost that. Barnes only has the one FA cup final medal aswell.

Re: Your greatest football moment?
well I suppose Boca's 2-1 victory over RM in 2000 with Riquelme basically eating Makelele and co... there's a Riquelme game to remember...but to tell you the truth I most enjoyed leaving River Plate out of Copa Libertadores's final in 2004, though I had to watch the game on a bar since they didn't sell tickets to rival fans on the away game for security...but celebrations at the city centre were great

I remember seeing highlights of that game and I think you're being too kind on Makelele. Riquelme ran rings around him...
Wasn't the game hyped us a contest between the best players on 2 continents (riquelme and figo)? Obvious who the winner there was.

Re: Your greatest football moment?
hmmm...my best moment for club football was seeing Milan vs Juventus in the champions league final.
But as a Palermo fan, my best moment was beating AC Milan 2-0 at the San Siro, and then beating West Ham twice in the UEFA Cup.
But the best moment will come in May when i see Palermo win the scudetto......

yes Roman's time at Boca was his finest to me...though he's still got his class in Europe, at Boca he was a more dynamic player and much better than the one today IMO.
I think that Barça's directives decided to buy Riquelme that night against RM...Van Gaal could say anything Roman would have been bought anyway

As a liverpool supporter at the age of 22 Istanbul will live long in my memory, however as a supporter of the english league my greatest moment was when English football was re-introduced back into European football after its ban, allowing nights like at the Nou Camp in 99 and Istanbul in 95 possible again amongst many many other exciting memorable nights in european football

Re: Your greatest football moment?
Best moment for Inter -
Winning the scudetto in 1989, over the "greatest ever" Milan team which remained unbeaten thru-out the season!!
tie with
Watching Roberto Baggio score twice against Real in Madrid as a second half substitute in CL quarters...
Worst Moment for Inter:
Losing the scudetto on the final day in rome against a Lazio side whose supporters were cheering for Inter! How could we have let that one slip away??
tie with
A moment which I have DELETED from my memory... it NEVER happened, it was just a nightmare, surely I was sleeping and it never really happened?? Milan 6:0 Inter, its impossible. How ridiculous. ha ha, what a joke. IT NEVER HAPPENED!!!
