He was poor in the first leg of the final though, wasn't he? Sanchez and Suazo both had better games for Colo Colo. Maybe it didn't help that every clip they showed of him in the first half he was being kicked in the heels by that Cordoba bloke.
Christian Gímenez was good again though for Pachuca. Set up Chitiva(sp?) for their goal but the marking was appauling. Gímenez was man of the match in the second leg against Paranase aswell though; wonder how old he is. Seems to have a fair bit of technique and awareness.

Cattermole was good, Downing was good..made the majority of our chances again, Taylor was good, Huth was good. Morrison changed the game for us think I would give him MOTM(for us). Him or Huth anyway.
Wasnt a penalty, ive seen it a few times now, clear dive but I can see why the ref gave it as it happened quick. Was just a shame Ronaldo picked today to go back to his old ways.
Scholes took us apart for alot of the game, think I'd give him MOTM.
Was a good game anyway.
Fletcher still wouldn't get in your side then coop ?

Morrison was our best player when he came on, Fletcher could get on the bench.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever seen Downing, Cattermole, Boateng, and Morrison play in a game where Man U haven't been involved?

I think you meant "Comfortably? no"
I was actually at the game poiuy..
Cattermole fouled a couple of times sure, so did Scholes, your point?
Boateng was solid, put himself about as always.
Don't talk shit again, you were doing well.

Re: Weekend Match Thread
Man City v Watford anyone watching the game. Watford are getting the better of the home team. Ashley Young looks like he can cross with both feet tricky on the ball and lots of pace I'm rating him higher than Lennon.:

They play good football and play the game in the right spirit but they have wretched luck with the decisions from the refs.

There effect for getting bodies forward is 110%. Man City are being out hussled in every department. Watford need to score more on there opportunities.

I know some people prefer players not from big teams and all this. But Fletcher has been very good on the international stage, to be compared to cattermole is a bit ridiculous. I am sure most boro fans wouldn't swap cattermole for fletcher, at the same time cattermole would not get near the man utd team.
I know that if the players were the other way round, ie countries best player, played over 80 prem games, still young, been great in big big matches against some world class team, at newcastle or boro, and then a youngster only been around over a year at man utd, and i said he was better, you would probably laugh.
Maybe he can be a very good player i dont know, from all i have seen, will say scott parker mark 2, maybe you will see that as a good thing, but not my kind of player.
