Weekend Premiership discussion 16/17 December Empty Weekend Premiership discussion 16/17 December

Post by Luis Fri Dec 15, 2006 4:21 pm

with all the European talk people have forgotten about the domestic league this weekend!, as ever another important weekend for the English teams:

    Arsenal v Portsmouth,
    Aston Villa v Bolton,
    Charlton v Liverpool,
    Newcastle v Watford,
    Reading v Blackburn,
    Wigan v Sheff Utd,
    Everton v Chelsea,
    Man City v Tottenham,
    West Ham v Man Utd,
    Fulham v Middlesbrough

The big 4 face very differnet games this weekend,

Arsenal have a tricky home tie with Portsmouth, however they've had a good week, getting a point at Stamfird bridge and then getting all 3 at Wigan, I expect them to win, only just.

Liverpool shouldnt have too many problems at Charlton, they're in need of 3 points so they'll be up for it but Liverpool look like they're going on a run at the minute, i 100% expect a Liverpool victory this weekend.

Again Chelsea shouldnt have many problems when they travel to Goodison, Everton are going through a bad patch lately, last week they lost 2-0 at Pompey and their 'goal king' Andy johnson hasnt scored for 10 games now.

The game of the weekend is probably Uniteds at West ham, all eyes wil be on Alan Curbishley of course but its the Hammers who desperately need the win and the points to get their season back on track

Have you seen our record there though? It's terrible. Also Thomas Myhre will have another one of his flawless games against us just like at Anfield last year.

    true

i remember last season it wasnt on tv so i went round to my mates to watch it on his computer, it was delayed about 5 minutes from live time so it was 0-0 on ours with about 5-10 minutes to go to half time then we put the tv on and it came up Charlton 2-0 Liverpool, we couldnt believe it then we saw the goals it made it worse because they were both stupidly conceded goals!

West Ham vs Man Utd at Upton Park is always special..the atmosphere is always fantastic and there's always been a lot of good games and upsets in fixtures between us two...

Don't be silly Pip. It was just becoming increasingly unfair on other teams to play Agger every game.

What use is football if it's not competitive? Got to rest him occasionally.

Difference is that Pennant could have been knocked out, whereas your players fall over as if they're running on ice Razz

Too fucking right. Nice to see Xabi take it too. Were it not for istanbul I'm sure we'd have heard more calls for him to be our #1 penalty take before now.

If it wasn't for the penalty, this would be a decent game and fairly close.

Gale makes it sound like they should be 8-0 up.
