We're halfway through January already, and we've hardly had 3-4 transfers of note in the Premiership. Every day brings more and more rumours involving a merry go round of players between the same clubs, and with the same transfer targets, but nothing ever happens. What on earth's going on?

Yep, it will get busy after next weekend I think. Teams will have a nice little two week break from Premiership football after next weekend and can use players the week after in FA cup games where they have more room to experiment.

It's a sellers market in January, so the prices are right up.

Plus, Chelsea's usual 30 million pound splurge has been called off.
