Yeh fantastic. Came as a surprise, but hard to see any better header than that in Europe this weekend for sure.

Another wasted opportunity from Villa. He'd have been better off passing to Morientes. Not the first time he's done it in this match, looks too anxious for a goal.

Yeh it hasn't been the greatest first half for Villa. I think if anything Atletico have been slightly the better side. Mista/Aguero should have scored from the free kick. Has been a passionate affair. Credit to the crowd at the mestalla, they are making some great noise.

A great counter attack, a great ball from Villa, Vicente runs down the left with it and an easy tap in for Morientes. 2 - 0 Valencia.

Good goal, and the points wrapped up. Feel a tad sorry for Atletico.

Back to winning ways for los Ches. Will be very tricky for us tomorrow, I'm praying for Madrid or Sevilla to drop points, though it's very unlikely considering they're playing Levante and Sociedad, respectively.

So IMO thats Atletico out of the title race, not that they ever were really in it. Do we all agree that los che have a realistic chance now?

The injuries seem to be really easing and if the strikers find the form of the start of the season, then they certainly are in with a good case. They have the experience that say Sevilla don't have as far as challenging for the title is concerned.

The other three in the race should all win really. It will be criminal if either Real or Sevilla drop points today.

i hope that there will be more of a fight for the league. so we and sevilla have to win and barca to drop points.
