Yeah that is true... but a more correct translation would be

"I have to run around like a slave to get paid like a white man"

He sometimes looses his cool but that is what drives him forward and he hates Rossell and all that he stands for..

Very sad really. For the second straight day there are racist remarks on this board. The mods should start thinking about doing something...I'm white and I still think some comments here are very offensive.

I don't get it. Rijkaard and Rossell are enemies. Rossell wanted to fire Rijkaard after his first season at Barca, Rijkaard never forgave him. Rossell got very close to Ronaldinho when he was Nike regional director in Latin America, they're friends. So Eto'o has more enemies than everyone else...

Eto'o isnt a fan of Frank either..

I think both Rijkaard and obviously Etoo are to blame for this. Etoo for not wanting to come on & Rijkaard for acknowledging it to the press, he could have said that he spoke to Samuel and they both agreed it would be better for him not to play but he came out and said that Etoo refused to come on. He left of for the lions (no pun intended)

Eto'o was stricktly a Laporta signing and Rossell was very much against and apparently dislikes Eto'o personally. So you have a half a squad signed by Rossell who adores him and Eto'o plus the Catalans who are neutral and/or dislikes Rossell

No doubt that it was handled badly by both but I think Eto'o is feeling very stressed about not having played so long and is probably blowing it out of proportion.. He will calm down soon enough.. Aragonés has already come out with a fartherly reprimand..

Or maybe, that wasn’t the first time that E’too had act like a prick and Rijkaard just had enough and decided to be public vocal about his attitude, I don’t blame him, work with him must be a living hell.

i agree with eto because this seems to be rooted in something bigger.
he points to two groups in barca and for what i understand it is
laporta(eto,catalans)
rossel(dinho,deco,brazilians pretty much)

and rijkaard i cant figure out. and eto is against the treatment that dinho gets i think and who can blamce him. wow this is like figuring out some crime.

You seem to forget that Eto'o also gets special treatment with extended vacations..

If the problem with Etoo is that he feels left out in the side and doesn’t get as much attention or prizes as Ronaldinho, I can’t see how replacing Dinho will be the solution, lets just suppose that Ronaldinho goes to Milan and Barcelona gets Ronaldo (they need someone for his place in the team, not to mention a star to get a lot of media), do you honestly believe that the situation will get better, I think it will be even worse.

Ronaldo will be the new kid, the new signing , the new star and the media will be all over him, I think that Etoo will be even more overshadow. Not to mention Ronaldo it is not low profile like Dinho, he LOVES the media, and will adore to be the Star of Barcelona.

I may be reading this completely wrong - just heard Eto'o on the tv, and this looks like a much bigger problem than what barca fans are making it out to be here.... yeah, there may be a temprary truce worked out by the weekend, but something big will happen this summer.

Looks like Eto'o and Laporta are on one side.

Rijkaard, Dinho and Rossell are on the other.

Only one of these sides will remain in the summer.... actually, take out the politicians, coz they can change... it basically looks like Eto'o vs Rijkaard+Dinho. One of these will leave this summer - no question about it. I just can't see Eto'o and Dinho remaining in the same team after this.

I hear yesterday Berlusconi asked all Milan players to vote whether they wanted Dinho in the team or not. And they voted yes. Berlusconi will NOT do such a poll unless he believed that it is possible to get Dinho.

I think barca as we know today is coming to an end... there are going to be some big changes in the summer. Maybe its time anyways.

I heard his comments on the radio and heard a lot of talk on the radio about it. I am worried. Eto'o needs to be left out for a bit and we'll see what happens. It is very serious what he has said, because this can create division in the squad. Setting Eto'o aside may now help to unite the squad for the upcoming games against Valencia, Liverpool, Sevilla, Zaragoza and Madrid, all of whom we play in the next 4 weeks.

I too heard Etoo speaking on TV, and the way he spoke, and words he said, are a direct afront to the management of Barcelona. Etoo for bringing these things out from the club should be punished, and Barcelona will have to think do they stay with Ryjkaard or Etoo, because after this, if Etoo plays for the team, Ryjkaard looses all power.

the biggest problem of Eto'o appears to be with Ronaldinho. I think he can work things out with Rijkaard. What will happen? Can Ronnie and Eto'o ever play together again? Who will go?

I think Ronaldinho is more replaceable than Eto'o. Can these burnt bridges be re-built?

If they are professionals they will get on with it. Barca won't win the CL without Eto'o.
