Robbie Savage claims he was not surprised by the FA Cup semi-final draw which pitted his Blackburn side against either Chelsea or Tottenham.
Savage admits Rovers, who beat Manchester City in Sunday's quarter-final, would have preferred a date against Watford.
Adrian Boothroyd's team were instead paired with the winners of the replay between Manchester United and Middlesbrough.
In typically mischievous mood, the midfielder was 'amazed' that the first match at the new Wembley is still on course to be the 'dream final'.
"I said it yesterday [Sunday] on the TV, I said I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't draw Watford," Savage told Sky Sports News. "Some of the boys said it as well, we felt we wouldn't get Watford.
"I think Watford would have liked to have got Blackburn but it wasn't to be.
"It could be Tottenham or Chelsea, the lads did fantastically yesterday [Sunday], each and every one of them, and they'll give it a good go and there's no reason the way we're playing at the moment that we couldn't beat one of those two teams.
"It's not the best draw for us but, for the neutral, Man United and Chelsea have been kept apart and, if I'm being honest, I suppose for the first game at Wembley everybody would like to see United and Chelsea so it's up to Blackburn, Tottenham or Watford to make that not happen.
"We've had the hardest cup run of all the teams and to get this far is a credit to all the boys who have taken part but it's just disappointing. I said Watford and Blackburn wouldn't be a semi-final and it's amazing how that happens every single year."
Savage is still recovering from the broken leg he suffered at the end of January, but the Welshman has an outside chance of being fit for the semi-final which will be played on either 14th or 15th April."
Asked if he would be back in time, Savage replied: "Maybe, maybe not, hopefully but that's not my biggest problem, my biggest problem is getting back in the team."
