    I can't see it working.

If you want to do that then you either need to play a Barcelona style of football or play with a target man - which Rooney isn't

Play like Barca it is then.

Great. Should be easy enough for Mclaren to manage Laughing

yeah and replace rio with carragher in the two above statements and you could say the same thing

Carragher is not a left back yet is constantly slated not least by you spank as 'not being able to cut it for england'. he never gets the chance to bloody cut it in his own position. if he doesn't merit a starting place ahead of the injured terry after being MOTM vrs barca twice and man u then it's a form of racism Wink

stick Rio to left back ok

I'm not sure I remember an England squad with strikers this inexperienced.

It's usually one of the strongest points of the squad, but these guys aren't exactly frightening. They have their qualities, but it's the weakest line-up I've ever seen from you guys.

england only really have crouch, rooney and owen who are capable of being international strikers.

owen and crouch are injured so it all looks very weak especially seeing as rooney cannot score goals Wink

It makes you wonder, the amount Steve McClaren gets paid, and still he makes elementary errors, like playing with no width, players out of position and still no plan B !

From the looks of things recently and under Sven the players choose the team anyway.

What we need a truely world class manager who will actually make decisions.

Sooner or later the fans will realise they're being taken for mugs.

Look at the financial gap between the top 4 and the rest, it's MASSIVE, they just can't compete. Eventually the fans will realise that paying a fortune every season to watch shit football is pointless, nobody outside the top 4 will EVER compete for the league again(unless they get an Abramovich).

The bubble has to burst eventually, and a european "super"league will probably follow. The top 4 will be sorted, what will happen to the rest? Who knows... Erm

Any team outside the top 4 can easily go to Anfield or Highbury this season and get a result if they play with a bit of bollocks, it's not good coming and looking for a draw, you will not win that way, Liverpool and Arsenal aren't even that far off the 5th and 6th place teams, the top two are so far ahead because they have played good football and got results

This season is irrelevant, i'm talking about the next 5/10+ years.

The financial gap is getting bigger and bigger. A couple of years ago our budget was £2m less than Liverpool's, now it's over £30m less, that number is only going to get bigger. And Arsenal, Man U, and Chelsea all have higher bugets than Pool.

Is this gap EVER going to close? I doubt it.

It's the other way around Kimbo. Club football is being ruined by money, international football is the only refuge left for the football fan interested in football foremost, and less in marketing and gimmicks. In international football, poor countries like Ivory Coast have a much better chance competing than poor clubs in international club competitions, for example.
