José Mourinho has been named Barclays Manager of the Month for March. Petr Cech has picked up the Player of the Month award.
During last month, Chelsea beat Portsmouth, Man City, Sheffield United and Watford in the league without Cech conceding a single goal. Seven goals were scored at the other end.
It is our keeper's first monthly award in England; the last Blues player to win it being Frank Lampard in October 2005.
It is the first time Mourinho has won the managerial equivalent since his first Chelsea season when he twice collected it - in November 2004 and January 2005. He has however won Barclays Manager of the Season the last two years.
On receiving his latest accolade, the Chelsea manager said:
'The last month we won every league game and we played more matches than other people because we had a match in hand so when we won every game and we didn't concede one single goal, it is good.
'It is called the Manager of the Month but for me it is Team of the Month and we played well. I think my team deserves as much this trophy.'
