Re: Juan Pablo Angel to NY Red Bulls
i wish him luck. had a mixed time at villa, but was always a genuine, decent person. it's been clear he's no longer got the pace for the prem for a while, but this move should be great for him. he'll get plenty of goals and assists out there, because he's certainly still got the intelligence.
good move for us too. clears up a space in the squad, as he was one of - if not the - highest paid player. look forward to see who we get in his place in the summer

Re: Juan Pablo Angel to NY Red Bulls
If you get a chance to see his interview on SSN it is very odd. He simply doesn't seem to have a clue about the club he has just joined, aside from the fact that the manager is Bruce Arena. I'm sure he will pick up a decent wage packet over there.
Its a shame his Villa career has ended like this, he was brilliant for some patches like in the 2003/2004 season. At times he replicated his River Plate form. No doubt Lerner will give O'Neill a good level of funds to get a quality striker into the club.

Good luck JPA & family! He loved Villa, and we loved him - despite his mixed form.
As debaser said he is a really genuine guy who came to our country in very bad circumstances and wasn't treated as well as he should have been by Mr Ellis & co.
