Re: UEFA Cup Semi-finals
a VERY fiery game - there's been a headbutt, a fight and Fabiano tried to stamp on a player lying on the floor three times!

Re: UEFA Cup Semi-finals
Spanish commentary says that the ref got injured and it appears the 4th official called the players off in the meantime. But they're confused as well.

*sigh* There goes our hope to bring the Cup to Germany this season.
Guess Bayern will simply have to win it for us next time.

I also think Balague is a good journalist, he knows what he's talking about it's a pity Reviste has been turned into a sun-esque shown, before with that other presenter it was a very good programme!

Re: UEFA Cup Semi-finals
Will be interesting to see how the second leg goes with Sevilla still in three competitions...Osasuna might just be able to reach the final. Espanyol are 90% there!

Lol, no I wouldn't because I don't think that you are. You're just hopelessly optimistic and believe too much tabloid info when it comes to matters pertaining to La Liga.

Espanyol truly dominated Werder Bremen, I'm still amazed. Not just that Bremen didn't play any of their good football, but they looked defeated mentally. It will have to be a big turnaround in the 2nd leg.

Espanyol !
Wiese will miss the 2nd leg ?
Bremen must win 4:0 at home, which is possible .. but the German no1 GK is out.

I don't think I am, I do watch a lot of la liga, our paper's dont really say much about it TBH, nor does sky sports, all the attention is on the English game.

Naldo and others at the near post just didn't bother jumping for that corner though they could have cleared it easily
I said Naldo saves Bremen but then the second goal it was ouch what Naldo did....
Espanyol saved bremen today with the 3-0! Unbelievable...
But a philosopher once said "every disadvantage has its advantage". Frings and Klose will play for more than 100% in Bremen next season.... No one will be that stupid to buy them if they watched this game.

I agree fully with your post. Espanyol could have easily scored more today. But in terms of that last sentence, maybe it helped drop Klose's price a little

Re: UEFA Cup Semi-finals
I didn't watch the games tonight as I realised that at 8, I had work to do. So spent the night writing a Spanish essay! So anyway, the concession is that....
The match in Pamplona was pretty crazy. Whats all this about them leaving the field? Osasuna dominated and should have got more than the single goal, which will give Sevilla that chance of getting through in the second leg?!
I am stunned by the Espanyol result. The result speaks for itself I suppose. They surely will do enough not to get beat 4-0 in the return!

I had a very bad feeling before this match, and it looks like I had good reason to. Worst match of the season by us, Naldo the only player in normal form, probably the only Werder player not thinking about his contract these days.
Congrats Espanyol, a fully deserved win. Good luck in the final, the tie is over.

Re: UEFA Cup Semi-finals
But Naldo was the main culprit for that 2nd goal. He really should have jumped and at least distract the guy behind him from seeing the ball all the way.
@ncfc: The walking off the pitch thing was nothing major in the end. Apparently the ref got injured so the 4th official allowed the players to come off. Or maybe the 4th official confused it all with crowd trouble. Basically a lot of chaos (understandable given how aggressive the game was, as Tweedle posted) over something small.
Next week's 2nd leg will be interesting, I'll definitely watch this tie rather than Bremen-Espanyol. Osasuna will probably try to hang on to this and be as disruptive to Sevilla's game as possible.
Tweedle or others who watched Osasuna-Sevilla in full, how was Raul Garcia?

Braamhaar as ref=DRAMA! He shouldnt be doing this to himself, he has a teacher head! Not a refs head. Lets see what he fucked up recently.
-Lille vs Manu: Didnt allowed a perfect good goal, chaos followed short after that.
-PSV vs Scum: He is fucking laughin at a Ajax goal!!!!
-Osasuna vs Sevilla: Fucked up big time again, did almost everything wrong. And again the players were sent off the pitch during a game....
Etc...
