No excuses though. We had Boula on the bench, but Jose wanted to put Essien in at CB. I've said before he can't play CB and it was him who gave away the FK for Bolton's 2nd.

Congrats by the way, best team won it this season Ale

Feel sorry for Essien in some ways - he has been the sacrificial lamb so many times this season despite being your best player. I actually quite like him.

great game. superb goal by fernandes, but once everton conceded, momentum completely changed, and the turnaround seemed inevitable. everton didn't have a single decent attack from that point. did beattie even touch the ball after coming on?

kudos to utd though. very impressive resilience to turn that one around.

Won't claim it just yet though.

I think it's over. You need to lose 2 out of your last 3. Just ain't gonna happen mate. You may draw 1 and lose 1, but won't lose 2.

To be honest, I don't mind United winning it, given the football they've played this season. We've just had too many home draws (10 points dropped at home, compared to just 2 last season) <Ale>

He is always going on like that, and it still enjoys us. I support you against Chelsea (mostly because of Mou and the many millions) but there is no denying that Chelsea is a better team than either of ours considering the amount of pressure and the number of "crucial" games they play.

You're still be favourites next year though, unless we sign 2 or 3 top class players.

I played with the words. Wink

he was criticising benitez's record for us and said he would be sacked with it

As for trying to get Drogba booked, Carra was mouthing off at the ref, but in fairness every club does this (especially us).
might have had something to do with drogba diving every 5 minutes perhaps

He also said liverpool were not a big club

'If you're not a big club, you choose one competition and you fight in that competition and forget the others.

'Big clubs - we cannot do this

i don't care. these sorts of comments can only come back to haunt you

The comparison with Kaka was hilarious, but he did take it well.

I think it was a slip, but it wouldn't surprise me if his legs turned to jelly for a moment.
