So yes it is, it's not the most amazing team but if you looked at it you would say yes that is a great team

Little biased imo there mate. Reina, Carragher and Masch are great players, Finnan, Agger, Gerrard, Riise, Alonso, Kuyt and Crouch are very good players, Pennant the juries still out on, although he's been playing well recently.

A great defender, a great player, no not just great, Carragher's fucking outstanding

for me it devalues the Cl if Liverpool can reach two finals in such short time without showing much else then heart. 5 years ago i dont think liverpool would have made the final.today it is all about tactics. it seems all the teams that has won it since after 2003 has been mostly about tactics.

What waft's saying lu is that Carragher is excellent at committing himself and putting his body on the line for his team (similar to Terry for us, Vidic for United etc), but maybe not a great ball-playing CB (such as Carvalho).

What do you want a defender to do? his job is to defend and Carragher does that to an outstanding level
