Are you also thinking that all Chelsea needed was Pizarro and Ballack to finally take them to the Promised Land? Imagine that "Chelsea Champions League Winners". Could be!

I think Ballack will have a monster year, and hopefully Pizarro lights it up as well. You know how these two know each other's movements on the pitch. Jose really wanted Claudio, but something tells me Ballack was also instrumental in the deal along with Solano's recommendation. Chelsea...Kings of Europe finally. Imagine that!

I can picture Pizarro waving a Peruvian flag, and Ballack doing the same with his German flag as they run the victory lap with the rest of them Chelsea teammates. Biggrin <Ale>

Wish the best for Claudio he will have no excuse at Chelsea for not winning the CL. Will he be that instrumental? at Bayern Munich he failed to win them the CL Cup so right now its good old fashion patriotic peruvian hype... pirat

He will probably get 10 games in a season if not for ACN.

...and Ballack will have his usual six injuries next season.

He's a great player but he will never have another monster year. Maybe a few good games in a row, but that's it.

Kalou played over 50 games this season.

Mikel played over 40, almost all at the latter end.

SWP played over 40 games too.

And yet you think Pizarro will get so few?

    @puro

the Ballack situation is slightly complicated

he just gave an interview effectively saying that his team-mates (read Flumps and friends) treat him like a novice who has to work himself up from the bottom

goes to show how many morons inhabit the Chelsea dressing room, and why is Mourinho not interfering Shocked

Pizarro will have his work cut out; it appears as if Chelsea are chasing Pantelic of Berlin at the moment

one of the most stylish , if inconsistent Bundesliga players

Flumps and Terry are most likely jealous of his wages. Flumps should know that Mourinho made him what he is. Jose gives him just about every dead ball situation so Flumps can pick up "assists". Biggrin

If Flumps were a very good player, he'd shine in England. Flumps is the quintessential system/club player. Take him out of his cushioned, taylor-made surrounding...and he's doomed.

Pizarro will be fine, and he'll probably be shocked when he personally sees how one of his no look passes bounces off Flumps' shins fucking up the attack. Ballack should be good to go in year two. If only Scholes played for Chelsea instead of Flumps. Doh <Ale> Biggrin

Chavski can feck right off re Pantelic.

Ballack will do better in the EPL next term with more experience but the root problems will remain, with two defensive midfielders behind him and Flumparse floating around for the scraps – he will still be denied the space he needs to be the crucial link between defence and attack that will show him at his best.

I just wish he could go/come to a proper club that will allow him the role he plays, still to such great effect, for die Mannschaft. (We missed him, particularly from a defensive point of view, against Slovakia in midweek.)
