Juninho has 32 for Lyon alone.

Figo and Zidane for me. We are told they were the best free kick specialists at Real Madrid.

He's great at that but I wouldn't necessarily put him above Juninho, Cheva and Nakamura for that.

I prefer Sinisa and Delps, simply in light of the differing ways they strike the ball depending on position, all Beckham's are the same (although, why would you chane such a successful method?).

Delps is the most beautiful technique, I hate all this punt the airhole malarkey.

The best I have ever seen, besides the Roberto Carlos le tournoi strike, was van Hooijdonk into the far-right top-corner, unbelievable goal.

As Big Ron said, that free kick against Real Madrid in the 4-3 game was one of his best.

Ian Harte did it for Leeds at Huddersfield but that was in a pre-season friendly.

I think Mihajlovic might have done it?

Juninho is the best no doubt about it, over 30 goals from free kicks and he can score them from all different angles and distances. Beckham on the other hand needs them more in certain areas.

Cannot believe that Pirlo hasnt been mentioned, he is probably second best.

What about Van hooijdonk in his prime? He won feyenoord the UEFA Cup just by his freekicks. He was on 50% that season. 1 in every 2 were goals. Didn't matter where the ball was lying.

Marcos Assunção scored a free kick hat trick in 1998. At the time he was playing for Santos. Not so long ago he was the best fk taker in the world. Before him a player called Lula scored a free kick hat trick in 1947.

IMO Beckham is the best assister from free kicks in the world, but IMO overall Juninho is better than him.

The best free kick taker I've ever seen is Marcelinho Carioca, a good midfielder that played for Corinthians between 94-01. I will try to find out how many fk goals he has scored, but I'm pretty sure that no one has scored more fk goals than him.

You know, those brazilians don't know how to shoot a ball.

Beckham at his best is the best free kick taker in the world. As he got older he has had a bad back, which means it was harder for him to take them how he used to it. He can still take great free kicks, but as an actual shot cannot get the power and bend like he did before.
