Did you see the Barnsley goal - What a strike could be a goal of the season contender in the first week.

Darlington are looking good and have already been made the bookies favourites. They had a bid for Joachim refused this week and if they manage to get him then i think they will be a very strong team.

Darlingotn have money to burn, although they cant get the players they want...they had a £250k bid for Michael Bridges rejected and have also seen a bid for Joachim turned down.

Still if they can get a striker of their quality in then they will be building a decent front line with Martin Smith, Barry Conlon and Gaetano Giallanza.

Giallanza, now thats a name that brings back some memories. I am so pleased for him that he came back from the injury he suffered whilst at Carrow road. Was doing well at Livingston last time I heard, scored a couple at the weekend I think, what fee did they pay for him.

They got him on a free. It was funny cos i looked at him in the top scorers odds and he was 33/1, then sky published a preview and tipped him to do very well and the next day he was down to 8/1 fav.

He should do well but faces competition from Smith and Conlon. Darlingotn are building a decent side, they have that young Simon Johnson from Leeds and Dean Holloway from Bradford on the bench, which shows they have soem depth.

The 100% leaders are Swindon and Walsall. Acringtons first win made the headlines but the club is dissapointed with attendances below 2000 in their opening matches. Meanwhile Darlington were brought back down to earth with a heavy defeat to Boston, and today lost Dutchman Martis to Hibs.

Darlington have signed Julian Joachim from Boston for an undisclosed fee. The ex Villa striekr scored twice against Darlington at the weekend.

I think he is a great buy and i think with the fire power Darlingotn have they will be a major force in League Two this season.

Plus i guess it was only 5 years ago and i was supporting a football league team Wink

Goater i had to go with Barnet cos they are from North London so why not?

the problem is Fairclough doesnt know his best XI he is always chopping/changing.

the big worry is our defence lacks pace and we aint got that player who has an extra something special in his locker Crying or Very sad

Slowly climbing the table, couldn't make the game today, but sounds like we were steady. Gradually climbing the table. Roeder's influence should not be underestimated.

Fucks sake, have written this into the wrong thread, this has certainly come back from the dead.
