    Fulham part company with Sanchez
    --------------

Fulham have announced that manager Lawrie Sanchez has left the club with immediate effect.
"Ray Lewington and Billy McKinlay will be in charge of the team whilst a search for a permanent replacement takes place," said a club statement.

Sanchez's departure comes just a day after John Collins' sudden resignation as Hibernian boss.

The ex-Fulham and Scotland midfielder's exit sparked a flurry of rumours that he may return to Craven Cottage.

    More to follow.

He has been dreadful since joining them. I don't blame them for getting rid of him. He has spent lots of money to get worse results than Coleman.

Well, he spent well over £20m in the summer and just bought in his 'homies' rather than dealing with the shite part of the squad: the defence.

Fulham are in a real mess. They've been punching above their weight for a bit now though. I mean, they barely attract 20,000, even for the big games!

always thought he'd be a let down, apart from N Ireland his managerial career prior hadn't really set the world alight (that FA Cup run apart)

seems an odd time to oust the boss, the day before the start of xmas fixtures. at least should've done it at the start of the week to give the caretaker manager a chance to do something. 'specially as tomorrow they play wigan in a crucial bottom of the table scrap

Its so they can bring somebody in who can spend some money bring players in the January transfer window.

This will be the selling point for the job.

Apparently this will be done by the 30th.

Decent manager. Manager Inter for a while and also Blackburn Rovers for a season. Most of his experience has come in Scandinavia.

Yep, BBC are confirming it now. Interesting, he is certainly an experienced manager although he hasn't managed in one of the big leagues for a number of years.

Roy hasn't won anything of note, but he definitely has tons of experience. I read that Mohamed Al Fayed expressed a desire to see attacking football return to Fulham, and that's why he signed Roy. Biggrin

Hodgson is all about parking the bus FFS! Fulham's defense will be much more organized just watch. He'll try to win 1-0 all the time, but he may help Fulham stay up in the end. <Ale>

I think Fulham will go down, when I think of Fulham now, I can't even think of any big players, Healy is probably as close as it gets for them, there aren't any leaders on the pitch to help them escape from relegation.
