We haven't got the facilities to improve on Stamford Bridge. Bates sold off all the land back in the dark days.

I guess the issue isn't can RA afford to build a brand new stadium, but would if they expand the stadium, actually fill it?
There would be IMO little point in building a state of the art 40,000 - 50,000 state of the art stadium, costing millions, when it would take forever to pay off the cost of the stadium (unless he writes a nice fat line under the construction costs)

The stadium already holds 42,000. Average attendance varies between 37-41,000 (the game against Rosenborg was a real one-off). But you're right. If we were going to increase it, it would have to be 60,000 minimum (I don't see the point in only adding a few thousand more seats), but would it fill up? Maybe for the big games, but against the Wigan's of this world I doubt it.

Cr@p. Ws always going to happe,; but with Diouf going, we really need to see Braaten and Wilhelmsson stepping up a gear.
Not going to happen is it.

You could probably add signing on fees to that.

Re: Anelka signs for Chelsea
good bit of buisness as it seems his days of being a right mardy c**t are behind him now. Hopefully he can do the business until the drog gets back. seems shevers will never get a game now but that might be a good thing.
