This trend is breaking my heart, lets see if dinho can regain his form before we jump to any conclusions.

I'll do you one better : I've always *hated* Rivaldo.
Although Dinho also seems to be good at wrecking teams nowadays.

Tbh...some of the things Ronaldinho could do on a pitch...I don't think anyone could do. Rivaldo might have indeed been great...but an on form Ronaldinho is not only unstoppable...but amazing to watch.

Hmmm, tough one. But in the end I have to go with Ronaldinho as well, for similar reasons to Deano. The things he can do with a football (in a professional match on the biggest stages) were just stunning. If he can rekindle his form with Milan and win another title or two, he'll be up there with Zidane, no questions asked.

Think it'd take more than two titles. Zidane's different class.

Re: Ronaldinho v Rivaldo
Rivaldo between 1998 and 2001 was every bit as good as Ronaldinho at his peak and Rivaldo was more professional. If Rivaldo had had a centre forward who could score like Eto'o instead of Sonny Anderson or Kluivert he would have won a lot more than he did.

Re: Ronaldinho v Rivaldo
he can do things with the ball in match day situations that not even zidane can do, and he is already more effective than zidane, the only thing that separates them is the fact that zidane has won more titles.
i can't remember that pundit who said, "between a team of XI rivaldo's and XI Zidane i would take the rivaldo's everyday of the week" the same can be said for Dinho.
Not saying zidane isn't legend but these guys mix flackes of genuis with goals and assist thoughtout the season.

Zidane is not a different class from Ronnie in terms of the football game. They are at the same level. Different kind of players, but same class.
As for Ronnie vs. Rivaldo, again, i would pick Ronnie only because he can offer a little more on the pitch if he's thinking only about football.

Because of that World Cup 2002 incident?
For me its Rivaldo, I'll never forget that hatrick against Valencia in the last game of the 2000/2001 season.

Dinho.
Rivaldo was quality, but Dinho in his pomp was an absolute joy to watch. Always brought a smile to my face. Could do things that no one else was capable of too.

Not particularly - I thought he was a C0ck before that as he's always been a cheat.
But an utterly awesome footballer. Best overhead kicker in the world.

Re: Ronaldinho v Rivaldo
Rivaldo, there was something about the bow legs and the magic he conjured with them, it was not so much about his ball control skills as his ingenuity. Dinho may have be physically and technically the better player but i'd always chose Rivaldo.

Re: Ronaldinho v Rivaldo
Man this is tough. I preferred the Barca team that rivaldo is part of to the one that Dinho was part of. It seemed much rawer.
Rivaldo was probably a slightly more effective player but then again, for about three seasons, Dinho was clearly the best player on the planet. Rivaldo by contrast was part of the Zidane generation.
So I'll have to say Dinho

Rivaldo. I can't remember any player from the 90's that was as decisive as him. Think about someone like Henry...Rivaldo is his opposite. He played well in almost every big match at club and international level. His performances at WCs are underrated.

Would Ronaldinho ever think of making such a pass:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33yT5HR3VXY
on the subject i think its very hard judge because both were great in their way. what speaks for Rivaldo is that he was world class in a team that wasnt filled with world class players always. now Ronaldinho also showed he could play well in a worse team in fact his best season was when his team mates were the poorest of his barca time.
i will say Rivaldo since i think he produced over more years and like Sheva said he was always a threat in the big games. i remember when he should have had a hattrick against Real Madrid at bernabeu in 2000.

that pass was sweet, but dinho's back pass was better.
please note i'm not saying dinho is better than zidane, or the other way around.
