    17 gameweeks this season...10 games a week...if 6.25m watched it, that makes 6250000/170 = an average of 36, 760 per game Ale

    very impressive: nearly 41.000

this will increase in the second half of the season, when Hoffenheim move into their new stadium and when Leverkusen play their home-games in the far bigger stadium in Düsseldorf (50.000 instead of 22.500)

    You Germans destroyed Rotterdam

    Yikes

    and NOW

If Beckenbauer went to Gladbach instead of Munich back then it would all have turn different. So he ruined them in fact!

Bayer can't even sell out their own tiny stadium, in fact their average attendence went down from 22.400 (last season) to below 20.000 (this season).

They better relegate & make room for a real club with more fans.

    you think like a German

    forever the pessimist Neutral

the BayArena is in the process of being rebuilt

    ie

    it's a BUILDING SITE

I suppose, that accounts for the drop

Bayer Leverkusen are the best run club in Germany right now (together with Hoffenheim)

the two also play the best football in the Bundesliga

I PROMISE you , Bayer will increase their crowds in Düsseldorf

a city, that has not seen 1. Liga action for some time, and will not in the near future

if Bayer are clever , they will do some quality marketing as well and increase their fan-base in that area as well

Bayer & Hoffenheim are clubs for fake fans like you. Just the idea that Duesseldorf fans would change allegiance to Bayer...

Düsseldorf does not have many fans

at least, their attendances are very low

    ie

there will be a HUGE number of football lovers in the region , who watch the Sportschau every weekend but have never seen a 1st league match live

when Bayern, Bremen or whichever club club still has to visit Leverkusen, come to play in Düsseldorf the stadium will be sold-out and Bayer will win new fans, who love their style of playing

their is NOTHING wrong with converting atheists into believers

and I VERY MUCH doubt that those who were born to believe have a better chance of getting into heaven than those who converted or start to believe for the first time

Your propaganda is flawed. The football lovers in the region have plenty of real clubs to chose from & they prefer them over Bayer. Even in Levrkusen itself Schalke & Dortmund are popular.

you are an insufferable football snob

    you should love QUALITY FOOTBALL

not brands because they have a nice logo or the right history

Kinda agree with Otto here, you are being a bit of a football fascist Guzman. You don't have to be a bandwagoning glory fan to have a soft spot for Leverkusen – they've been a highly likeable club for a good while now for the way they play and their thorough lack of dislikeability, far more so than their money-chucking counterparts at Golfsburg...

Surely if you want to do that comparison you have to add in all leagues (2nd Bundesliga gets decent attendances too, I believe). It seems weird to use the average figure per match out of total population - you should do total attendance per gameweek (including all leagues) as a percentage of population to get a fair comparison...
