Joe Mattock has won five England Under-21 caps
England under-21 and West Bromwich Albion footballer Joe Mattock has been charged with assaulting four people.

He is alleged to have been involved in a disturbance involving two women and two men early on Sunday morning in the Churchgate area of Leicester.

The 19-year-old, who moved from Leicester City in the summer, handed himself in to police on Tuesday and was charged with four counts of assault.

He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later this month.

The player, who grew up in Leicester, has won five England Under-21 caps.
