It wasn't shit, just not emphatic. If they don't get their goal and Arshavin scores one of his easy chances, its a solid battling win.Romford Pele wrote:Fanastic win. Shit performance but who cares.

He went in with two legs but they weren't together and they weren't stiff "solid" so contact wouldn't have been that dangerous.TheCrazy58 wrote:shazlx wrote:That was two legged more that two footed. Dawson's 'tackle' on Denilson too.

We didn't create anywhere near as chances as we normally do. Thought the team looked a bit tired after the Porto game, especially Nasri.
Anyway no use dwelling on it, we won.
This team has a lot of mental strength.

Normally teams have an even more flat performance when they are away from home after a CL game. I need to check the stats but a major reason for the losses of Arsenal and Chelsea are due to this. Don't know for ManU.Romford Pele wrote:We didn't create anywhere near as chances as we normally do. Thought the team looked a bit tired after the Porto game, especially Nasri.

Now that we've won the game it isn't sour grapes, but that pitch was awful. They've got to find a way to stop teams sharing with rugby teams because the standard isn't good enough. With the money that teams get for being in this league there isn't an excuse for pitches like that, they should be as good as the team can feasibly make them.

There league wants to boast that it has the best everything, this is such a drawback to the claim.

Brown talking crap again, saying it was Sol's 'intension' to take Zayate out.
And of course skims over Boateng's tackle on Sagna.

Hull, Spurs, Mancs, Bolton (it's more to do with Allardyce), Thugburn and lately Stoke - yes. You forgot Brum (Eduardo ) and City (Hughes, Ade ). I don't think there's anything going on particularly between us and 'pool and with Villa it's MON being MON, getting wrong end of the stick about something and complaining. I don't think there is any animosity between the players. Chavs - ditto. Drog's antics infuriate but then he does so with everyone.

If I was a betting man I'd definitely put a big amount on them right now...what are the odds? They're probably still listed as 3rd favourites behind Chelsea and Man. Utd.
They've faced a few different types of challenging situations over the past few weeks, yet came out of each one with - as they say for American sports - a 'W'. Statement win after statement win. Add in the easy fixture list (which will also boost their goal difference while Chelsea-Man. Utd. face each other and other top 4 candidates and drop points) and I think they really could win it
But what's scary is thinking about how smug and Wenger and some Arsenal fans will become if his experiment does finally work out...he could even exceed Joan Laporta and some Barça fans (namely the two newspapers SPORT and MD) after Barça's 2009 season

Well Arsenal have been lucky with sendings off in two big away wins. But that don't matter now. there's 8-9 games left and they can win 7 of them for sure and that'd probably be enough. It's deffo possible. But they are capable of slipping up against ANYONE.
IMO United & Arsenal joint fav.

That's one of the things that makes my gut feeling about them being champions even stronger - people moan about some teams getting refereeing decisions all the time, but I can guarantee you that no team in the history of football has ever won any kind of trophy - big or small - without a refereeing decision or three going their way. It's champions luck.
