    All four of the candidates running for president of Barcelona are supporting an initiative to get Cataluña into Brasil 2014 as an independent nation. Laughing

    No word on whether they would truly go on their own or if it would a combined Cataluña-Poland side.

    The important question is, what will Valdes do - be the keeper for Cataluña, or remain in his position as Spain's no. 1 (as he'll no doubt be by then, with Iker's form getting worse as first marriage then babies with Sara Carbonero distract him from football).

    Bigger question yet - will Oleguer return to play in Cataluña to try be seen more by the manager (surely it will be Pep...or Laporta) or will he take his chances on the Ajax bench??????

    lusitan, wales has a league now, its was a stipulation to continue to havin a national side, BUT we were allowed to keep the existing sides in the english league system. (long drawn out court action involving newport county.) clubs qualify for the european comps as any other league. hence Catalunya would need a league, even IF Barca and Espanyol stayed in la liga
