In the Arsenal match, when Bale shot a cross which Defoe narrowly missed towards the end of the match, the commentator said 'And Cazorla is rampaging into the box!'

Sunderland are a steaming pile of turd. Fulham down to 10 after Hangeland went in two footed but won the ball. Sunderland don't look like scoring through. Sessegnon has gone from great to abysmal in such a short space of time.

2 well contested games ruined this weekend with red cards.

Adebayor's red was a definite.. Could've broke a leg.

Hangeland's is arguable.. He did leap in though, two footed.

Was it really 2 footed? He only went for the ball with 1 foot, the other naturally followed because it was attached to the same body. What does 2 footed actually mean these days? People use the phrase all the time.

Close call really, he did leap though and the argument is usually that if you leap in you're out of control.

There's a world of difference between Adebayors and Hangelands though yet referees can't seem to distinguish between them.

Never a red, Fulham had more than enough chances after that to level it. Hopefully they'll appeal over the red card.

Why? Even if it's obviously not a red there's no way it will be rescinded, that's not how it works.

I only switched over at the end of the half. Nice finish and a well worked goal, but you see less blocking in a game of American Football.

See what Allardyce has done to WHam. Last time I was there a few seasons ago - think that's when they got relegated - I saw them comprehensively thrashed by Liverpool but the crowd was more alive then than tonight.

But then I've seen so many similar or worse fouls given as yellows or nothing at all, inwhich case - yes, I am arguing that if fouls like Terry's are being given as yellow, then don't send off a STRIKER (always likely to be a little shit at tackling), 18 minutes into a derby game, who has not made a single foul up to that point, has the whole home crowd on his back, AND when Cazorla is completely fine afterwards. Because the game is ultimately ruined. Webb was right this time, but would he have sent off Rooney for example for doing the same at Old Trafford? I doubt it.

Inconsistency is wrong, but it's enough to say that both Adebayor and Terry (or whoever) should be treated the same.

All of this:

is completely irrelevant to the decision and if officials took such things into account, it would only increase inconsistency.

Either the foul is worth a red card or not and that needs to be applied consistently.

I get your point Debaser, I was just listing the number of reason why Webb might have not decided to issue the red card, presumably similar reasoning was swirling through his mind when he chose to issue Terry ("he's England Captain"?) with a yellow card.

It's the age old issue of consistency VS applying sensible reasoning.

the letter of the law states a player to be given a yellow card for taking their shirt off whilst celebrating.

Sensible reasoning dictates that booking a player who removes his shirt after scoring a last minute winner in a local derby probably shouldn't get booked for it.

Fact is, Webb generally shows neither consistency nor sensible reasoning - just mix and matching where it suits.

Webb is a complete shit of a referee. No question about that.
