Bad timing losing Sandro for this one. Dembele and Sandro together would eat United's shitty central midfield for breakfast, just like at Old Trafford.

No doubt that bow legged dick RVP will score at some point (ex Arsenal etc. etc. will probably blather on afterwards about how wonderful it is to have given his old club something back). So we will need to score twice at least. With just one centre forward at the club currently in Adebayor's absence, it's a big ask.

Still, even with United at full strength, I'm confident we can do the double on them. They did an absolute smash and grab last season after being relentlessly penetrated like a Rotterdam slapper. We're better drilled under AVB than Harry not to get caught on the break again. Control the midfield, as we have done in the last 3 or 4 games against this lot, and there is always a chance.

We can't win, today we were playing well, the first half was good and we were 1 up, but instead of pushing for more we sat back and Pardew started subbing out our best players. I said ages ago we would be relegated if we didn't sack Pardew, we're getting to the point where it will be too late.

We are level on points with Arsenal and Sturridge is a 'good player' so that must mean we iz the fucking bomb!

Still plenty of twists in relegation battle. Bottom 6 all well in it and you can't rule out someone like Norwich collapsing.

Norwich versus Liverpool reminds me of Wigan versus Man United. Rarely does one team so consistently capitulate so pathetically to the same opponent.

Perhaps Liverpool are secretly buying up warehouses full of Delia's newest cookbook in return? Eitherway, something smells very fishy, finished off with a sprinkle of chopped dill and a squeeze of lemon.

In other news, I genuinely hope Villa win today. The sheer psychological torture those poor supporters are being put through, Amnesty International will need to intervene soon if it doesn't stop.

Villa vs Newcastle is crunch time. My ideal result would be a draw

Got 2 cup games against lower league opposition first. Good chance to get back to back wins for the first time since 1824, but also a fair possibility of being the worst week of the season

Going to feel dirty wanting United to win tomorrow. The other match I hope for a draw but would rather Chelsea win.

It's a bit mental to suddenly have 3 strikers to choose from as well as Sterling if needs be. Makes a hell of a difference.

Also, Henderson>Allen for the time being. Allen started very well but has got worse and worse as the season goes on. Henderson isn't brilliant by any stretch but offers so much fight it's wonderful to watch.
