Obviously hoping Southampton and Stoke can get something but it's unlikely. I actually think Chelsea could slip up, they're low on confidence, Mourinho berating his strikers and Stoke are capable of getting a draw.

Southampton have been impressive this season but it's too much of an ask at the Etihad. They aren't really playing for anything either.

Arsenal game is really interesting. The atmosphere will be amazing and Everton will be more confident.

Our game is a potential slip up but we should have too much for them if we continue to perform.

Nervous for every weekend now, shit is getting real!

I think we can get at this team next week. They've rode their luck and the scoreline flatters them. Hope we fucking rip their arseholes open.

Goal difference wise this is a bit of a blow but then we should beat Norwich about 8-0 so we could make it up.

Did you construct that sentence from the Alan Shearer handbook on football clichés?

Personally, I really don't want to see anyone's arsehole ripped open, good grief. Even Fey's countrymen don't do that in public.

Man City will win the league. Liverpool fans can still bore everyone for the next twenty five years that they scored the most goals in one PL season, so silver linings and that.

Meanwhile, poor Jay Rodriguez. Looks like his World Cup dream of standing in an orange bib arm in arm with John Ruddy watching England get knocked out on penalties in the 2nd round is over.

I must have missed this Townsend vs Sterling debate.

Man City have had alot of interesting offside calls this season, when we see things this strange in boxing everyone screams corruption, but when it comes to football we just shrug and say "swings and roundabouts". This is the easiest sport in the world to get away with fixing matches.

Two utterly wank football teams in our match. Fellaini got a freekick earlier for sticking his elbow in Gosling's face.

Probably the better team up to that freekick, but the ref is going to give Man U as much as he can, the players need to stay on their feet and not give him the opportunity.

There never was one. There was a 'Gareth Bale will flop at Madrid because he was overrated here'  one that Lewis was peddling at the beginning of the season and has since gone quiet about though.

Agree about City. They've got a lot of calls go their way this season.

    Rather him than Adam Lalalalalanana.

Probably because there is fuck all left this season from a Spurs perspective to get excited about, that I have deluded myslef into the belief that England might actually impress in the World Cup.

    Hart
    Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines

    Gerrard Wilshere

    Lallana Rooney Sterling

    Sturridge

    .

Possibly first WC where our centre backs look weakest position. Otherwise, on paper you'd say thats a very decent starting eleven.

We had CL multi title winning Fabio Capello last time round. At international level the manager has far less influence, so as long as Woy picks the wight players, I maintain hope it won't be a disaster.

He's a completely different player to Sterling and Ox.. Not sure why we'd compare him to those. He's a forward..

Yes Sturridge is better.. Rooney should be but he's a fat lazy c**t half the time and Welbeck I'd say is on a par overall. Probably better on the ball but Rodriguez is a way better finisher.

So I'd much rather have had him. Plus his understanding with Lallana is great.

    Who were those games against?

England have been largely dire under Hodge. If you think he's going to play free flowing football and play the likes of Lallana, Wilshere etc you're in for a shock. Milner will be starting, probably Barry/Carrick and Welbeck.

Of course we are.. We're playing Italy and Uruguay. But we'd be fucked whoever was in charge. I'm not expecting free flowing football but I do think Lallana will be getting a decent bit of time.
