Well this has been as abjectly miserable as it could possibly be. Not a single shot. Not a single moment where we've looked like being in the match. Not a shred of sunlight in this miserable, godless universe.

Suppose it could be worse, least it's Arsenal not Man Utd or Liverpool.

Pretty whacky that the reason Grealish hasn't been called up for England was this nationality debate, rather than him clearly not being ready.

not ready, sure, but if England showed no signs of being interested he could play for Ireland and then he's lost to England. and that could be a big mistake in a few years

Villa had good calls for a free kick (not a pen) when Coquelin brought down Agbonlahor just outside the box and then for a pen when Bellerin wrestled Grealish down. I don't think either, if given, would have had any bearing on the end result however. Villa just didn't turn up, while we put on the best team performance of the season. Sorry DB - but at least you stayed up.

What a belter from Sanchez cheers I thought his goal vs Liverpool was good but this one was from much further away from goal. He goes onto Copa America now so I expect him to miss the first month of the season to get a proper rest at least. Provided Walcott maintains his form, it shouldn't be a crippling loss.

Loved the look of total astonishment turning into delight on BFG's face when he headed in the third goal Very Happy

That Salford City FC is a proper little circle-jerking freakshow. Some millionaire ex-Man U players take over a club in greater Manchester, change the badge so that it's just a cropped version of the premier league logo, change the kits to Man U colours, and pump some loose change into it. I don't really see the point, they want to own Man United but can't afford it? They may aswell hire a drunk gum chewing Scotchman as a manager aswell.

Went to the one at the weekend. Pretty awful first half and we never looked remotely like winning, but somehow snuck it. And a great draw as reward! Rooney was playing for Everton all them years ago when we beat them in the cup. Would be nice circularity if we beat his Man Utd team now Very Happy

I actually feel like a Villa fan - just endless pain and misery. This is the second season in a row Benteke has knocked us out the FA Cup as well Grr

We didn't play too badly - Coutinho, Sturridge and Origi all added much needed quality to go alongside the enthusiasm of Stewart, Chiravella and Texieria who all had very good games.

It was never a free kick that led to the winner but having said that WHAM should have has a penalty before that anyway.

Hurts to lose like that but some crumbs of comfort that our best players are returning. We may get 3 games out of Sturridge if we are lucky.

WBA playing 5 at the back against Peterborough, and losing. Pulis should never get another premier league job.
