    Chelsea hot on Chilean
Chelsea scout Jorge Alvial has confirmed that the English champions are tracking Chilean winger Matias Fernandez.

The 20-year-old currently plies his trade for Chilean giants Colo-Colo, but he is not expected to remain with them for much longer.

The Argentine-born wide-man almost joined Villarreal earlier this year, but the move failed to materialise.

Now, Chelsea's main man in South America Alvial, who is also from Chile, has confirmed their interest in the man many regard as one of the best young players in the world.

Fernandez is not likely to come cheap, with reports suggesting it may take up to £6 million to land him - but that is unlikely to deter Chelsea, or any other suitors given his ability.

Alvial admits Fernandez is interesting Jose Mourinho's side.

"Fernandez has a lot of talent and we are following his progress," Alvial stated in the Chilean media.

"We will study him as both a person and a player and find out what we want to know.

"He is a lad with a lot of talent. He has impeccable mental discipline, is mature and is always looking to get forward and attack.

"I believe he could adapt and triumph in any country."

is this the game your talking about?

LIMA, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Striker Reinaldo Navia scored the only goal of the game as Chile beat Peru for the second time in a week with a 1-0 away win over their neighbours and bitter rivals on Wednesday.

whats up with Mark Gonzalez, how come he is not getting more games for Liverpool?

Didn't he score the game before that? I remember reading something like that in Tim Vickery's comment.

I honestly couldn't tell you about Gonzalez. He's had 2 starts for us and scored 2 goals (not necessarily in those games though), he puts in great crosses - far better than anything Pennant's done this year - and generally looks a threat whenever he's on the ball.

He has had a few niggling 3-5 day injuries whilst he's been here, and he's been ill, which I guess cuts down some game time. Also, he's still very young so Rafa's possibly easing into the Premiership.

Still, I'd love to see more of him for us and I haven't spoken to any fans that don't believe he should be playing a part in every game at present. Even if it is just coming off the bench.

if he hasnt made his debut then surely he is an argie as he was born there? no matter.... its not like argentina need any more 5 foot 6 boy wonders. he looks good though, nice to get some flair at chelsea but for that reason i dont think mouriniho will buy him: if he was 6 foot 4 and from africa then he would.
