So, has everyone been suitably impressed by him this season?

Not sure what the deal is but if I was Moyes I'd be buying the guy.

When he left Pompey they were witting pretty in 6th and Everton were mid-table and since then their roles have reversed and IMO its largely down to this guy. He could play for a top club with ease from what I've seen Ale

And you think Barca might be in for him?

With his performances in the EPL this season I can see a few clubs sniffing around.

Having said that, Liverpool won't be in, they already have enough DMs.

Chelsea are grooming Diarra to be Maka's replacement and they have Essien.

Utd look serious of Hargreaves so its unlikely they'll be in for him.

Arsenal could and shoudl feasibly be interested in him but there haven't been any rumours at all linking us with him so I'm not holding my breath

I doubt we're in for him, but I would like us to consider him if other options for the DM position don't work out. I think he has a good combination of cultured passing and the ability to tackle/be aggressive.

Tempting him away from Everton can't be too hard, and he won't cost much either (though Benfica/Portuguese fans can correct me on that if I'm wrong).

He seems to be enjoying his time with us. Has settled in well and has looked the business when he's played. We have first option on him (I think) - we've got some money available so hopefully we will snap him up.

Firstly, his name is Fernandes, secondly, the deal is already signed with Everton, who'll be signing the 50% of his «passe» that is owned by Benfica. I imagine they'll be signing the rest from the company that owns it, so as not to have the same problems as Mascherano and Tevez.

Great buy for Everton Ale has the potential to be a top class player for them, if he isnt already that is

The fee that Benfica want varies from paper to paper, but it's somewhere in the region of £8million. I have no idea how much the sports consortium that owns the other 50% want.

He should, but who would be interested?

Real Madrid now have Gago and Diarra.

Barca don't seem to be interested.

Valencia as a replacement/stand in for Albelda?

Can't see any Italian teams placing a bid, though Juve should be interested.

And I've already been over the EPL teams

Braca, Juve, Inter( almost all their midfielders are over 30) and if money is an issue ManU should go for him instead of Hargreaves

Because he hasn't been close to MOTM every game. Thats just a blatent lie.

Ferdandes made Popmey tick, he leaves, they drop four places.

He joins a mid-table Everton, he pushed them up to a UEFA spot.

Fernandes has had a far better season than Mascherano. sure Masch has had his injuries but thats no fault of Mauel.

ok As stupid as this sounds, first i noticed of Fernandes was on FM, and he really does make things tick. And then he made a few appearances for Pompey, despite being injured at the start of the season, and really played outstandingly. The boys got some serious talent.

Arteta has incidentally been at Everton the whole season, even when they were struggling in mid-table JUST before Fernandes signed incidentally, how queer.

Yes, Arteta has been the best player for Everton but Fernandes has made a much bigger impact in terms of results. He doesn't score many but he's made Everton a much more soldi side.

No see you're arguement is transparent, I can see what you're doing, you don't like Liverpool because we've had a better season and so you're saying their small rival's new midfielder is better than ours, which is wrong, you'd be mental to choose Fernandes over Mascherano and everyone knows it
