I don't understand why teams play teams like Barnet and Mainz Whistle in pre-season, what could you possibly learn from playing such poor opposition???

Our pre-season has gone pretty well, we had respectable results against better teams in PSV and Villarreal and we seem to be qualifying for the UEFA Cup quite comfortably. <Ale>

You call 1-0 comfortably? The only people who are comfortable are the comatose ones who actually watched the whole 90 minutes of your anti-football.

Never have I been so mind-numbingly bored. Exciting times ahead for the Geordies. I hear around 20,000 are going to SJP just to see the touch line being painted ahead of pre-season. They'll just be using the football on display as a comedown.

    Ridiculous.

70% possesion, it's not the football we're used to at Newcastle and not the type of football we want to see, it frustrated the hell out of Newcastle fans and bored neutrals,,, BUT it was comfortable. ok

    When I was a kid I didn't like mushrooms, so I didn't eat them.

What I didn't do is eat them and then spend my time on an internet chatroom moaning about how much I didn't like eating them.

It was Bramble and Babayaro that looked dodgy(again), they will be out of the first team by the end of the window, i'm confident of that. By that time we should've bought a left back and Roeder will have seen Bramble is a liability. ok

t's not that difficult. I don't like hearing your needless weak critisism - you don't hear me randomly slating your medicraty, please return the favour.

The irony is the Utd fans criticising us for it after the way you performed at Anfield, and indeed Old Trafford last season. Is that the first time a team has won a game without testing the keeper at all from open play?

Thats about the norm when i go to City...execpt if its a special day (eg the derby, last day of the season or a strange KO time) when we meet at 9am and have breakfast at the boozer(its a cracking full english). We know the guys who own the pub so they dont mid opening up plus they make tones of extra cash. Its a great boozer the kind were you know the landlord...when i walk in i dont have to order they just pull my pint (boddingtons) for me...i love it.

I've just read that Bramble's been in a car crash(and no i'm not dreaming), he smashed his BMW into a wall down in Norfolk. Unfortunately he was uninjured, he could've atleast sprained his ankle the inconsiderate buffoon. Mad
