Ayala to Villarreal Empty Ayala to Villarreal

    Post by TheCrazy58 Wed Feb 07, 2007 6:42 pm

Ayala will join Villarreal next season on a 3 year contract. I suppose it was a matter of time after all the kerkuffle last summer. A shame though. What's happening with Carboni v Quique now?

Did you also see that Villarreal's new striker, Thomasson scored twice yesterday against the Aussies.. maybe Villarreal can start turning their season around.

According to Boca, Riquelme wanted a full year loan while Villarreal only wanted to loan him out for the rest of the season. I am guessing that as long as Villarreal aren't competing for Euro football or getting relegated, Riquelme will sit on the bench till summer (unless he apologises or something)

Supposedly there was agreement between Boca and Villarreal for a six-month loan. Marca says Riquelme refused the six-month deal, AS says he is still considering it.

I don't know yet about Tomasson - of course he does well for Denmark because he's been playing for a while. May take him a bit longer to settle in Spain. Still, he's a good striker and I can see him doing ok.

Riquelme has gone back to Boca now, btw. I suppose that was common knowledge by now.
Loan deal until June 30th for 2M dollars.
