I'm amazed , they have some good talented players .. why hasn't it clicked ?

I can't think of many Belgian players these days to be honest aside from Mpenza and Kompany.

They were rubbish in 2002 as well, they drew against a very poor Japan team.

Mpenza, Kompany, Van Buyten, Dembele, Martens are all quite good.

Van Buyten is a reasonable player, I think he is out of his depth at Bayern though, despite his heroics vs. AC Milan.

De Mul , Vermaelen and dont forget Vertonghen

With quite good I mean quite good to decent. Solid would be the word - he's out of his depth at Bayern I agree.

But at least that would be a name you'd recognise. Stijnen and Vreven perhaps too?

Dembele is a very promising youngster. Mpenza has been their rock for what seems like ten years now.

Decent players maybe, but we have a joke of a coach and an FA that just doesn't care anymore.

I think we should annex Belgium again, I mean we would only do them a favour! And I always wanted Buffel and Huysegems in Oranje

Sonck was decent.....you should have seen him for ajax though MIDGET went mental against him on the pitch!!!!

Yeah Buffel was okay for us! Usually its the other way around! (Elmander and a lot more)

I've done that a few months ago but obviously without succes.

Basically means he doesn't have the required quality to play for a club like Bayern Munich.

Watched bits of the finnish match last night and quite simply, we were just outclassed by Finland...
We have a lot of good young players who could become class but the coach doesnt play de mul or marteens all the time...
Kompany is always injured.
Van den borre is a dickhead with an attitude problem despite his obvious potential.
WE play Van Damme- the guy who used to play for Southhampton.

Well the problem is that you have a talented squad…but the best players are in the U-21 team!!!! That is outrageous! De Mul is waste of space same as De Mul same as Van Damme. And never understood what everyone sees in Kompany!!



But the biggest c**t is!! Vandereyken, cause he selects all these n00bs!!

Kompany is class, no doubt about it, but needs to play a full season next year as he seems very injury prone.

We used to be able to beat teams like Argentina, Spain and Holland.
Then we were only able to beat teams like Sweden and Czech Rep.(no disrespect).
A few years later we found our place among teams like Poland and Slovenia.
Now we have 7 points in our group. We rank amongst teams like Armenia, Cyprus or Malta.


Does anyone see a pattern here?

Vermaelen is a player that needs confidence , i don't think he did bad against Portugal.
