    JUVENTUS Empty JUVENTUS

    They are back.

We said their ambition next season would be determined by the clubs actions this summer in appointing a mager and their achievements in the transfer markets.

Add Sergio Almiron and Tiago to their list of acquistions.

Next season, a fantastic squad, and in Ranieri a manager who can get the best out of young players and develop them. Whether he has the right attributes to actually guide the club to success once they regain their competetive stance i am unsure, but he is certainly the man to take them near the summit, they may need Lippi though to actually plant the flag on the peak.

This summer, Juventus have purchased or ordered the return of the following:

Molinaro, Grygera, Criscito, Nocerino, Salihamidzic, Tacchinardi, Miccoli, Iaquinta, Gastaldello, Almiron and Tiago.

They are also heavily tracking players like Milito, Cannavaro, Barzagli, Huntelaar and Gilardino.

It's going to be SOME season for us in Italy next year, and i can't wait!!

Juve aren't anywhere near as strong as they were Calciopoli though - it'll take a couple of years until Serie A is back to what it was a two/three seasons ago.

I personally think Juve may struggle a bit this season and might only come 5th/6th

I can see them being competetive next year, that's a good thing, that Torino-Juve derby is going to be SOME match with all the action of Turin in the transfer markets so far!!! Biggrin

Tbh, the likes of Miccoli, Tacchinardi, Iaquinta, Tiago etc are players that are hardly going to strike fear into other teams.

IMO the the will be nowhere near as strong as what they were a couple of years back.

With the £40 million they are alleged to be willing to spend and the acquisition of Ranieri I think they will be ok next season.

Of course they won't be AS STRONG, but they will be competetive, only a fool would expect Juventus to go straight back into title and european champions contention after their exile and player losses, they will also need to replace Del Piero, Nedved, DONKEY and Trezeguet most likely, but they have Buffon and they have other good teamplayers who will make them hard to beat next season.

And Miccoli is a great but enigmatic technician, Iaquinta is a problmeatic player because of his pace, width and strenght, and Tiago has good technical qualities too. Almiron is a great buy for them, i think they may make the top 4 now if everything goes right, but Juve should be top 5 now, but it is very tight!

I think that the likes of Iaquinta, Miccoli & Grygeras will see their careers turn around at Juventus & turn them into world class players helping the club to a certain top 4 position this season.

The same way it happened to the careers of Buffon, Cannavaro, Trezeguet & Zambrotta to name a few <Ale> <Ale>

Grygera and Iaquinta i can see developing. Plus Ranieri will be a fantastic guidance for younger players like Nocerino, Criscito, hopefully Marchionni will also develop his potential. He has a fantastic record at producing youngsters for the clubs he's been at.

Miccoli, maybe he will leave, he's an enigma, inconsistent, but vastly talented. Let Claudio weave the magic Magic Biggrin

Yeah, I haven't missed the action on the nicer section of the city... some pretty impressive moves, their roster for next season already includes:

Ventola, Grella, Corini, Bjelanovic, Malonga to add to Rosina, Abbiatti, Comotto, Bovo, Barone, Coco, & Gallo!

And they are linked to so many other players, including Recoba & Vieri!!

Buffon?? He was already considered among the best in the world at that time, the amount of money Juve paid to get him has NEVER ever been paid for a GK...
