There´s a quite famous football club that´s called AFC Ajax.

...so when you make a thread about AFC without explaining what it is, a lot of people will think it has to do with Ajax.

Iraq beat Vietnam 2-0 to reach the semis, and in the other quarterfinal, Kewell and Lucas Neill missed their penalties (Cahill scored his) as Japan beat Australia.

Korea-Iraq and they're going to penalties.

Iraq were the better team, but the Koreans held on to a 0-0 draw. Setanta is showing this semifinal. Here come the PK's.

Iraq win the Asian Cup. They played better than Saudi Arabia.

Will FIFA put Iraq and USA in the same group in next Confederations Cup? <Ale>

The beauty of football. Countries like Iraq may just get their shot at the USA on even terms, just 11 men against 11 on the pitch for the whole world to witness. <Ale>

A big up to the Iraqis. I don't suppose the players will be able to go home & celebrate though, it would be too dangerous.

I hoped to see more people to congrats Iraq for this miracle!

Most people seems to be only interested when they can bash Israel or the USA but when they are not involved in it they don't give a f@ck about them! No

Or does have Saints some signals already that the Mossad or the CIA was ALL behind this victory so the new government will get perhaps more support.... Suspect

Why should anyone be bothered about Iraq winning the Asian cup? Why should we be celebrating a victory for a country we are at war with?

We're not at war with Iraq, we're at war with a bunch of Islamic terrorist nutters in Iraq, a lot of whom are not Iraqi.
