    PSV-Liverpool

Good game, both teams with chances. Reina hasn't bungled his long distance chip. Very Happy

Affalay good game, Bellamy not the the most creatibve of strikers, but good connection with Kuijt.

1-0 Chelsea - Essien slots in after a slip up by the Werder defence.

Chelsea are playing pretty well actually, Lampard hasn't been too good though apart from one chance and Sheva looks a bit off the pace

7' Iniesta (Barcelona) scores! Andrés Iniesta scores the first goal of this season's UEFA Champions League with a low shot from just outside the area after a nice lay-off from Samuel Eto'o and fine play from Ronaldinho down the left for Barcelona.

28' M Konstantinou (Olympiacos) scores! Ieroklis Stoltidis lofts the ball into the penalty area for Olympiacos and Michalis Konstantinou takes it down brilliantly on his chest before poking it past Santiago Cañizares to give the home side the lead. It is the 28-year-old's tenth UEFA Champions League goal.

34' Morientes (Valencia) scores! David Villa shows good strength to hold off his marker and break into the penalty area for Valencia. The Spanish international gets to the by-line and plays the ball across the face of goal from the left for Fernando Morientes, who has the easiest of tasks to score from barely a metre out.

39' Morientes [2nd] (Valencia) scores! Valencia have turned the match around as Morientes tucks away a rebound after Miguel Ángel Angulo's initial shot was saved by the legs of Antonios Nikopolidis. The goal is Morientes' 29th in the UEFA Champions League, putting him seventh in the all-time list ahead of David Trezeguet.

39' Giuly (Barcelona) scores! Barcelona make it 2-0, Ludovic Giuly the man on target. The French international picked the ball up on the right, stepped inside Igor Tomašic and stroked the ball in with ease. With six minutes to go until half-time, Levski's task is looking forlorn.

don't forget both teams are missing their natural captains (for separate reasons..) the two teams most influential players .. even game, i can see 1 goal winning it.

Glad Moro is playing well. I really wanted to keep him him. Ahh well.

Also... Shakhtar are holding Roma... I'm taping the game downstairs. They're playing quite ambitious though if the team sheet is anything to go by. 4-2-3-1 if the personnel were anything to go by. Is anyone watching the game? I imagine Duljaj and Tymoshchuk are playing as the holding players with Elano, Matuzalem and Marica alternating behind Brandao? Or is Marica playing upfront with Brandao and Elano and Matuzalem on the wings?

I don't know about you - and naturally you won't be as disappointed as me - but haven't you found our lack of shots or atleast good crosses disappointing?

Pennant is flinging them into the box in hope, and apart from that one Zenden effort, we haven't really had a decent shot from outside the box. We need to mix it up a little.

Pennant i think unlike say beckham, aims for an area, not a person when crossing.

Twice bellamy should of shot, but decided to cut back or play a through ball, and once should of ran at alex, instead turned back then eventually shot blocked.
Kuyt bellamy looked exciting and promising i think, gives liverpool a new dimension.

So far Alex, and Salcido have Bellmay in their pocket. I think Bellamy could have done a little better with his chances - especially the one where he just decided to turn, shoot and hope for a Lampard-like deflection.
