What people have to understand that Serbians don't live amongst black people - immigrants in general - like we do. The types of attitudes they are showing are exactly the same as England/USA in the 60's when West Indians first came over. We are judging them from our modern day standards.

Yeah well they need to change, and this was a good opportunity for UEFA to put pressure on the Serbian FA and make them realise that it's a big issue.

Didn't UEFA punish teams before with only 2 grand fines. Compared to that this is a massive fine.

And what can the Serbian FA do? Do you honestly believe that the people who threw bananas at John Barnes in the 80s don't go to matches? Those racists are still around, but keep their mouths shut because they know they're on camera.

There was a big anti-racism campaign in England that was very successful. Everyone, even the racists, now know that it's out of order to do it at a football match. It's better than just sitting back and saying "oh well, that's the way it is".
