Hope those memories will keep you warm for a while. With Zizou gone and the likes of Vieira and Henry past their peak, I can only see a decline for France for the forseeable future.

Yes after all, with Nasri, Gourcuff, Gomis, Gouffran, Sagna, Diaby, Diarra, Toulalan, Kaboul, Faty, Benzema, Ben Arfa, Payet, Ribery, Clichy our future looks abysmal. Laugh

Our next generation will be even better. We probably have the best crop of centre midfielders in the world (bar Liverpool's).

Faubert AND Mavuba - I'm not a big fan of Bordeaux as a team. Faubert is a great player- But he faded badly last season, and kept on whinging about wanting to play in defence, when he's quite clearly better as a WF. Sagna is better than him, I think, Gouffran will be, and Faty is a central defender.

I could also include Didot, Marveaux, Pongolle, Gakpé, Meghni, Quercia, Pélé, Riou, Madenda, Lloris, N'Zogbia...

That's quite a greedy wish, no wonder that God has no luck left for their lads."

By the way, can you force the Ottmeister out of retirement, the stubborn bastard really has left under self imposed exile over some shambles of an excuse. And they say you Germans dont have a sense of humour....frankly im disgusted Biggrin

It was a Dutch complot against a German, what else is new? They won't stop until we paid for every bike we stole from them during the war. As if those watery gen tomatoes making us sick are not enough already.

Papers this morning are reporting an injury scare for JT - broken toe.

Is this the breakthrough England need? I for one would be delighted with a Woodgate/ Ferdinand or King/Ferdinand partnership at CB.

That's insane! Croatia has a good team but should not be infront of Portugal, who should be 5th imo.

But for the rest its a pretty good ranking this time. Allthough I dont rate Mexico and would swap Romania with England.

We're not bankrolled by the Bank of Israel. Rolling Eyes We don't have the money to blow on the likes of Postiga and Rebrov. If you actually watched us instead of reading what the Sun declares, you'd know that any team with Anelka, Diouf and the unit Diagne-Faye cannot be "shyte"

As for "French" players, I don't know what you mean. Everyone in France has got some foreign blood somewhere, so it's normal that our football team reflects this. Do they have to be French for five generations and prove that they're only 10 percent black before they're French? Anyway Henry, Anelka, Thuram and Gallas are from Martiniquan decent, meaning that they could only play for France in any case. And the likes of Gourcuff, Toulalan, Ribery, Mexes, Malbranque, Trezeguet, Briand are all what you'd call "French".
