Young set for £2.5m move to Boro

Middlesbrough have agreed a fee of £2.5million with Charlton for Luke Young.

The England full-back is keen to secure a return to the Premier League and a host of clubs have been linked, including Aston Villa and Manchester City.

Boro have also been trailing him for several weeks and they have now agreed terms with Charlton.

The 28-year-old is now set to talk terms with the Teessiders with a view to sealing a move to The Riverside.

Boro are desperate to bring in cover at right-back following the summer departures of Abel Xavier and Stuart Parnaby.

Charlton have already signed French Under-21 defender Yassin Moutaouakil and he is seen as a ready-made replacement for the former Tottenham ace.

Good signing for Boro, they need to get some in or they will struggle.

Actually a good buy , prem experience , captain of his former side for a decent price.

Still, the Boro need more firepower upfront.

At least their younger players will be a year more experienced, Morrison, Cattermole etc

aye..we're relying a bit too much on Yakubu to score another 15+ this season..cant see Aliadiere getting much...god knows what Tuncay will be like, hopefully will get a few though.
