Matrix: Emerson not welcome Empty Matrix: Emerson not welcome

Post by bluenine Wed Jul 25, 2007 9:39 am

You need a certain amount of guts and a decent amount of foolhardiness to declare something like this publically about your's coach's favourite transfer target!! The Matrix always had adequate amounts of both Wink

I had forgotten this - now I agree with The Matrix here.... Emerson not welcome!

    Matrix: Emerson not welcome
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marco Materazzi says that he does not want Emerson to join Inter after the Brazilian’s statements dating to last year. El Puma is a reported target for the Nerazzurri with both fellow countryman Adriano and Coach Roberto Mancini stating their admiration for the midfielder.

“I don’t want him here, last year he insulted Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Patrick Vieira because they had chosen Inter and now he wants to do the same,” Materazzi told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I don’t like this attitude, I would prefer it if he returned to Juventus,” added the world champion. Emerson had criticised his former teammates, as he believed their move to Inter represented a betrayal, and had stated that he could "never do such a thing to Juve.”

However, Materazzi is ready to greet Cristian Chivu, who he hopes will soon join the Italian champions, and is pleased with President Massimo Moratti’s new signings so far. “I am happy for David Suazo’s arrival, we needed a man just like him upfront. Luis Jimenez? He is the new Stankovic,” he concluded

No, Emerson "breaks legs" with his wild challenges.

I was referring to that lanky c**t. Arrogant bastard.

    Oriali slams Matrix comments
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inter transfer market consultant Lele Oriali has slammed Marco Materazzi’s outburst against potential signing Emerson. The defender told La Gazzetta dello Sport that he was not pleased with the rumours pairing the Brazilian to the San Siro outfit, despite Coach Roberto Mancini’s words of praise for the midfielder.

The world champion cited El Puma’s behaviour last summer, when he had criticised former Juventus teammates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Patrick Vieira for joining the Nerazzurri after Juve’s demotion to Serie B. “We will have to speak to Materazzi about Emerson, I think he only expressed his personal opinion,” Oriali said during Inter’s friendly win over Partizan Belgrade.

“He is not called to do so, this is not his job, he should only focus on playing,” added the former midfielder. “In any case, I don’t think there are the necessary conditions for Emerson to join us, it certainly doesn’t depend on the fact that Materazzi doesn’t want him.”

This will probably be the first and last time I say this, but I agree with Materazzi. Emerson disrespected Inter and now wants to join them. Materazzi is absoliutely right to say what he did. Inter should have more pride. They don't need Emerson anyway. Emerson should stay at Real. It's only right and proper.

Please no -- hopefully Milan or Juventus will still be in for him. Maybe he would even go back to Roma. Anywhere...PLEASE SOMEONE TAKE HIM!

I don't want Emerson at Inter only for the reasons that Matrix mentioned... he disrespected Vieira and Ibra's decision to join Inter last summer, but now he also wants to do the same thing... so why should we take that hypocritical twat!!

But Emerson the player will be a great aquisition for any of Milan, Juve or even Inter. I have no doubts about that. Like Vieira, he has a coupla good seasons left in him. That experience is invaluable IMO.

As a Valencia fan I must insist that you offer him a contract extension that allows him to retire at your club along with a hefty bonus for single-handedly winning you La Liga Wink
