That one is actually pretty hilarious.
Only Germans will get it though I guess.

I really shouldn't fuel the windup but
You've got to go back more than 10 years to find Klinsmann.
Hamann is the only one of the others who might conceivably have got into a 'team of the season' at any time in the Premiership.
Compare this to
France: Cantona, Vieira, Petit, Henry, Makalele, Pires, Desailly
Holland: Overmars, Van Nistelrooy, Robben, Stam, Van Persie

here's what Hitzelsperger said , by the way:
"It was certainly not easy making the move from England to the Bundesliga"
and Pizarro:
" the EPL is faster than the Bundesliga , but not harder"
what does that tell you , roger

your list of players confirms my argument
Cantona: hardly a French League Superstar and a National Team Extra becomes MEGA in the EPL
Henry: career fizzles out in Seria A; becomes MEGA in the EPL
Vieira: see above
Berkamp: see above
Overmars: see above; again, went on to fade away in Spain, just like Henry now will
.....
ie: mediocre careers rescued by the well-paying EPL where stardom beckons
they might as well go to Quatar or the MLS
meanwhile, the Germans do it the other way round
Hamann, Lehmann, Babbel and Co were considered to be good players in the Bundesliga, but NOT nearly as important to their clubs as they would become in the EPL
now, add to them Voronin, Santa Cruz and friends and you can see a pattern, right

well, that's what I was saying
playing a Finnish club in Europe is the same as playing Arsenal these days

Are you confounding us?
Doubt these “stories” to have any ounce of accuracy, just like the majority of your posts.
