You've got to go back more than 10 years to find Klinsmann.
Hamann is the only one of the others who might conceivably have got into a 'team of the season' at any time in the Premiership.

So Hitzlesperger is basically saying that he found it hard to leave the world's best league to play in a sunday league. Understandable. He wasn't even a first team regular at Villa, yet now he's one of the stars of the bundesliga
