Fred wanting to leave isn't a rumour, he stated it explicitely.

Juninho has had a run in with a few of his teammates, hence why he gave up the captiancy

According to L'Equipe, Fred - in a statement released by his agent Francis Melo - wrote: "Despite the fact that I am well settled in the country, in the squad of players and especially with the supporters, those who have backed me since I arrived, I feel that my cycle at Lyon is finished.

"The dialogue with the president is no longer the same, and it has been like this for a while.

"It is for this reason that I have taken this decision."

Melo has since confirmed this decision to be "irrevocable".

I am a big fan of Fred, I still think he has all the qualities to be a Brazil starter in time. Maybe a move might be to soon for him, many clubs have already spent there budgets for this Summer.

Wenger won't move for him, thats for sure.

Every time Fred's name pops up somewhere, I curse Feyenoord's decision to swap him for Magrao, because we needed an RVP replacement (Robin mainly played leftwinger in 433 for us).

Hope we still get a bit of his next transferfee.

So if... Toulouse don't get into the CL, Lyon sell fred then Elmander could be a Lyon player before tranfer window closes.

Lyon paid £10.2m to Cruzeiro for Fred two years ago.

He still has two years left on his contract and it would appear that they will not sell him for anything less than what they paid for him.

I am told that his form as been slightly indifferent over the last year, so he won't cost big. But Aulas will hold out for his price, like he always does.

that price tag should warrant off any real suitors, he hasnt really set the french league alight

If i remember correctly Fred's price it was 10 mil in Dollars not Pounds, Cruzeiro at the time was DESPERATE for money to cover some $hit that they did.

40 in 43 games was a record, don't know if it still is.
