With the european qualifiers to get underway in earnest v soon, and with many international squads currently being announced, if you had one chance to get the manager to go and watch a player he´s never picked but who is ELIGIBLE but who you think is good enough who would it be?

Fookin' hell, 2 English posters have picked central midfielders, the one area where we're bursting with quality (well maybe centre-backs too).

Malbranque, better than Ribery and could possible be a replacement for ZZ in the playmaker role.

Arnaud doesn't like the EPL like i do.

Evra should also be geting a look in if he continues playing like he is.

For England Scott Parker needs a call up.

I'd love to see Fernando Gago(age 20) playing for Argentina at senior level. But I guess it's justs a mater of time, before Basile calls him. I think he wants to give the player time to grow and start being more comfortable playing double 5 with another player(very unusual to see sole 5's in european teams these days)...Gago's latest trouble is that being so good on the distributing and creative side , he often's performs almost as a playmaker for his team, so he is a very particular 5 who gets man marked by the other teams actual playmakers and is constantly fouled when the team is attacking. I don't think that would happen if he plays for Argentina since he wouldn't be his rival's main concern

Now that that's out of the way, Scolari should stop messing around and give TONEL his chance. The guy is quality.

For Italy, there are so many players waiting on the line...

I would want any of Bovo, Foggia, Andreolli, Rossi, Palladino or Montolivo get a break into the Azzurri... but they all have time on their side, 5 of them are still in the under21 squad, so there is no hurry...
