Yakubu moved to Middlesbrough ffs, and has looked pretty happy there, he doesn't seem the type that cares about what the city is like.
Also, as much as i hate to do it, i will point at Roy Keanes recent comments - any player that moves to a club because of the city and it's shops is a grade A tart, the Yak doesn't seem like that type to me.

If a player was to choose a London club over a club in Liverpool just because it's London and it has better shops, then yes that person is a bit of a tart. Keane was right for the first time in his life.
