Strange if true...Jol has been a big reason in them finishing 5th two years running. Getting rid of him would be stupid.
Their injury list was King, Dawson, Kaboul, Bale, Assou-Ekotto and Lennon.
Now Berbatov is injured too. They, like us, have too many injuries at current to have anything to worry about.

It was on BBC's site, and also on spanish newspaper Marca's site (though they may have just picked it up from the English papers). It may just be old recycled rumours, because they were interested in him before getting Jol.

Jol's got the Full backing of the Fans and Board...
Probably the lunacy of the media trying to stir something up before the game against Derby...

Sevilla coach Juande Ramos has moved to distance himself from speculation that he has held talks with Tottenham.
Spurs coach Martin Jol saw his side pick up their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday with a 4-0 victory over Derby County, but on Sunday speculation in the British media continued to link Ramos with the London club.
Ahead of his side's second leg of Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid, Ramos played down the speculation, saying on www.sevillafc.es: "Curiously, when we play an important game like this news of this kind always comes out. I don't know what the motivation is."
He added: "All our attention should be on the match and I totally deny that we had a meeting. I think this has been done to unsettle us.
"News like this comes out every day and we can not reply to stories like this. I was in the hotel because a friend came who had nothing to do with football."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
His opinion on sporting directors from an old interview:
I really can't see why he would leave Sevilla, he is building something huge there, if he did, surely he would've taken the Man City job that was being offered earlier in the season as they would've offered him huge wages too, surely otherwise SGE wouldn't have joined them.

His opinion on sporting directors from an old interview:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------How does your relationship with sporting director Monchi work? What roles do you have when it comes to choosing players?
There's a clear consensus. I tell Monchi the player or type of player I want: fast, tall, left-footed, right- footed, good in the air…and, based on his work and expertise, he says to me: “Look, we have this guy, or this guy.” Between us, we identify the player, or players, who can fit that. But it's not always like that. For example, Freddie Kanoute was a player no one here really knew and I recommended him because I had seen him for Tottenham and West Ham.
Would you like the model to be more like in England, with you controlling the signings? In Spain, at other clubs, the sporting director-coach model has caused lots of problems.
The thing is, the coach doesn't really have time to do both jobs. What you need is trust and professionalism.

Don't be fooled...if a bigger club came in (and by bigger I mean a club like Tottenham in England who would also pay more) he'll be off. He's definitely done a good job with Sevilla, but a lot of people think Monchi is the brains behind their success.

It makes no sense from Ramos's side, from Spur's side it's not totally inconceivable even if it would be a little odd.
