ANY PALACE FANS? Empty ANY PALACE FANS?

Post by Puro Mon Aug 20, 2007 5:42 pm

At the court house I met this Crystal Palace older fellow. So we talked football. Told him I was from Perú, and the expression on the dude's face changed immediately. Shocked

The older dude was full of nostalgia. He said his team used to wear a kit similar to Perú back in the days. I said you mean "the red sash"?. "YES! THAT'S IT!" he said.

He'd love for his team to wear such kit again. According to him Crystal Palace played their best with the sash. <Ale>

    ANY PALACE FANS? Selhurst-park2

3 sides of Selhurst Park is "Ugh" - the "new" stand, which is also about a decade old is also showing its wear & tear.

I remember when Palace wore the all white kit with the blue & red sash - it was either that or yellow shirts & sky blue shorts & socks as the changed kit.

Was always a sympathiser of theirs, before Simon Jordan became chairman. What an orange prat.

Urgh have you BEEN to the away section!?

Wooden seats, Cr@p view, random $h!t blocking your sight - but a 2-0 away win makes it all worthwhile - but thats another story

    One word for Selhurt Park:

    Grim.

Once as an impressionable 12 year old vs. Wimbledon in the league cup Semi 2nd leg. Steffen Iversen scored a 30-yard cracker to win it for us.

Its just about the one thing we Saints fans are clinging to at the moment, oh and the fact that we aren't QUITE bottom of the table now.

Thanks for the link Frank! Yes, the one from '76-'77 looks awesome. Also the one from '80-'83 looks great although it'd look better with RED stripes instead of blue. The strip Palace wear nowadays is awful. <Ale>
