I went up to see the game this evening, and a group of relatively noisy but benign Crystal Palace supporters got together outside of Shearer's Bar about fourty minutes before kick-off and started singing anti-Tottenham songs. They sang 'Stand up if you hate Tottenham' - of course, we were all outside, there were no seats, sitting wasn't a great option and would have constituted a particularly bold show in Tottenham's favour - and also this one about gay 'Yiddos' being so ugly that they have to pay for sex.
Crystal Palace weren't very impressive. They outpassed and outmaneuvered us in the centre of midfield, as have every team I've seen us play this season because Nolan is a complete waste of space, but we still managed to retain the ball more than they did via the wide areas, and whilst we didn't create a lot, we were the better side over the course of the game. Shaun Derry incessantly harangued the referee - more than any player I can remember, though Olsson was vociferous just last week for West Brom - and should have received at least a booking for it. Ambrose wasn't able to exert himself on the game. Palace's formation seemed a little muddled at times, with all of their attackers lumped in the centre of the pitch.
